Coach Amy O'Brien
Coach Amy is our Director of Coaching. She has been integral from the start of Five Tool Training. She is also our Florida Stealth 14u Head Coach and 18u Asst. Coach. O'Brien is a 2007 graduate of SUNY New Paltz in New Paltz, NY. She was a 4 year starter for the Hawks where she roamed the outfield and hit at the top of the order. As a student-athlete she received the Chancellor's Award for her achievement in the classroom and was selected as the Offensive MVP for her team her junior year. She has been critical in the development of our day camps, summer camps and travel team training programs.
Coach Kayla LaDue
Coach Kayla is our Assistant Director of Coaching. She is also our Florida Stealth 12u LaDue Head Coach. She always takes time to help our players improve their skills and she shares her love for the game every time she is coaching. Kayla attended Jacksonville University but after playing softball for two years she had a career ending injury. Her love of the game kept her close with the team as she became a student assistant coach where she assisted the coaches with drills and keeping statistics.
Coach Michelle Campbell
Coach Michelle is our Assistant Director of Coaching. She is also our Florida Stealth 10u & 16u Head Coach. Campbell is a 2011 graduate from Pine Manor College where she was a two-sport athlete. On the softball field she was a 3 year starter as a utility player, fielding every position successfully including catcher and pitcher, with a primary focus in the outfield. She has four years experience running individual travel team clinics focused on fundamentals of catching, base running and outfield mechanics. She has a combined 14 years of experience working with children ages 6-14 years old in an academic and/or coaching role.
Coach Shay LaDue
Coach Shay is our Florida Stealth 16u Assistant Coach. Coach Shay attended FSCJ and played outfield. She was an assistant coach in Spring/Summer '15 for Team Jax and was our 10u Stealth Assistant Coach for the Spring 2016 season. Her love of the game and for children makes her a huge asset to our organization.
Coach Darcey Cochran
Coach Darcey is our Florida Stealth 16u Assistant Coach. Cochran played outfield for both FSCJ from 2010-2012 and Flagler College from 2012-2014. Her focus and knowledge of the game helps our athletes grow and succeed on the field.
Coach Mare Davis
Coach Mare is our Florida Stealth 18u Head Coach. Davis is a graduate of Tennessee Tech University where she was a 4-year starter as a shortstop. In 2004, she led her team in runs scored, walks and stolen bases and was selected to the All-Conference team in 2003 and 2004. After graduation, Davis was a graduate assistant coach while she worked to complete her MBA in International Management. From 2007-2009, she was the varsity softball assistant coach at Marist School in Atlanta, GA where she helped lead her team to a state championship in both 2007 and 2008. Since then she has been working for the PGA TOUR and is currently a project manager.
Coach Macy Davis-Ferrall
Coach Macy is a Lead Trainer for Five Tool Training. Coach Macy is our Florida Stealth 12u LaDue Assistant Coach. She is a 2014 graduate of Defiance College in Ohio where she was a two-sport athlete (softball and soccer). Macy majored in P.E./Heath Education K-12 and minored in Corporate and Wellness Fitness. As a softball player she was a four-year starter in the infield who used her speed to capitalize the top of the order. Her energy is infectious and she is a huge addition to our staff!
Coach Joe Berardi
Our first Baseball Director, Coach Berardi is currently the Vice President/Market Manager at Synovus Bank. He played collegiate baseball at Concordia College under NY Yankee and World Series Champion, Del Alston. He was a standout LHP and first baseman. He played minor league ball in the Northern League for 3 years. His coaching experience ranges from travel ball, high school and the collegiate level.
Coach K (Sam Kszepka)
Coach "K" is a former collegiate Head Coach at Division III Juniata College, Assistant Coach at Division I Bucknell University, Assistant Coach at Division I Norfolk State University, and Division III Assistant Coach at Susquehanna University. Her specialty is pitching, however she teaches all aspects of the game. As a collegiate softball player, Kszepka earned Third Team All-America honors in 2002 as a utility player at William Paterson University. She was the 2002 ECAC and New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Player of the Year, after hitting a team-high .463 with three home runs and 30 runs batted in. For her career in the circle, Kszepka notched a 36-10 mark with a 1.50 ERA and was a member of the first team to qualify for the Women's College World Series at William Paterson University (WPU). Coach K and her teammates were later inducted into the WPU Hall of Fame in 2018.
Baseball personal training coach, Kevin Sollie, joins the team after an extensive 14 years coaching boys and girls sports in Ohio, South Carolina, and now Florida. During his tenure, he has helped athletes of all ages and levels reach their full potential by mastering the fundamentals, improving their strength, focusing on discipline, all while accomplishing the number one goal – having fun and gaining a love for the sport. Kevin grew up in NE Ohio playing baseball. He often assisted his father who was a five-sport coach and semi-pro baseball player in the Naval Academy. He lives in Ponte Vedra and has 4 children ages 12-19 actively involved in the local baseball, basketball, and soccer sports programs. Kevin looks forward to sharing his passion for the sport and expertise with your athlete through 5-Tool’s individual and group programs. He is a graduate of Miami University.
